Designed in an L-shaped configuration, this 4-story assisted living project in West Hollywood contains 48 units and wraps around two historic bungalows on the site. The design of the new building reflects the composition and material language of the bungalows, while 3-story trellises create a green backdrop for the bungalows, which will be rehabilitated as part of the project. The building is designed to memory-care standards, as reflected in its east to navigate floor layouts, its all-steel construction, and a perimeter garden designed as a sequence of ‘sensory-stimulation rooms’.
