8553 W Knoll Drive

As with an adjacent LNA project at 8557 West Knoll, the development alternative for the project site was a series of 5 three-story townhouses. Unlike its neighbor, however, 8553 was designed as a residential subdivision, with each townhouse conceived as a vertical volumetric ‘container,’ with articulated volumes for projecting window bays and balconies. To maximize space utilization and views, all but the rear townhouse have living, dining and kitchen on the second floor, with balconies on each level, as well as roof decks.
